Last week got a gift of Mars Chocolate and some other chocolate variations. Now the question was just what they were to be used for. I therefore found this recipe for cookies, which I think looks so delicious, so I also saw no reason to change too much on the recipe. I used my mars chocolate bars in the recipe and I think it did them good. The caramel melted and the cakes turned into a really chewy chocolate chip cookie.
INGREDIENTS:
140 grams of Unsalted Butter
145 grams of Dark Brown Sugar
115 grams of Caster Sugar
1 Nos of Egg
240 grams of All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Vanilla Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
150 grams of Mars Chocolate
80 grams of Chopped Hazelnuts
PREP:
Start by turning the oven to 180 degrees. Stir butter, brown sugar and sugar together with a mixer or whisk.
When it is stirred well together, add the egg.
Then add flour, salt, vanilla sugar, baking soda and baking powder.
Make sure all lumps are stirred out. The chopped chocolate and hazelnuts are mixed into the dough.
Now it’s time to shape small balls of the cookie dough. Be careful not to make them too large as they will flow out a lot as soon as they are baked.
I could have six in the oven at a time. The small gold nuggets should have about 18-20 minutes at 180 degrees depending on how you want them.
I prefer that they are a little crispy and like to get a little color. But keep an eye on them and take them out when you think they are perfect.
