Delicious Classic Truffle Toast
Now that so much bread is being baked on the register, it also means that I often end up with leftover bread – and that sort of thing can easily get a bit boring.
That’s why I jumped at the chance when I saw that Netto had a panini machine as a spot product. And since then, there has been a two-shot for the big gold medal at home.
One of my favourites is a classic truffle toast, and it often gets a few questions – so here is my recipe. Not rocket science by any means – one really tasty.
Recipe – the classic truffle toast…
You will need:
• Some boring bread
• Truffle tapenade
• Good ham (possibly a truffle ham)
• Your favourite cheese – I prefer to use comté or gruyere, but you can use exactly what you have lying around.. Also just a classic Klovborg – it just doesn’t taste that good
Here’s how you do it:
Cut two slices of bread (not too thick). Spread one side with truffle tapenade and add a few slices of ham and a small handful of cheese. Use a panini maker to grill it. You can also spread the bread with a little butter – or drizzle it with olive oil. Then it becomes more greasy and comfortable food-like, which can be great some days.
If you want to see the procedure on video, you can find one of this kind here – you just can’t search on Instagram, so I think the recipe could be allowed to have a little life here. Then I have something to link to when someone asks <3
